Stamped it with Spiced Maralade Distress Ink and used orange stickles in the center. The rectangles were cut with Nestabilities and the DP is from Lasting Impressions, the yellow is prismatics. Card stock from GinaK. Three little Dew Drops, and the Happy Birthday from HeroArts. The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the new release from Mint Motif

Nestabilites for the circles, the silver, blue and green cs is from the Paper Temptress.http://https//www.papertemptress.com/results.php?category=5 (sparkle) It is beautiful cs! DP is from Dream Street Papers, flowers from Prima Marketing which I love!
The green vine is a Border from Spellbinders.

The sentiment on the inside might be a little different for a graduation card, but isn't this what we hope all young people and those starting off on new adventures would do?

The sentiment is a new set from Unity Stamps called "She Said". The set was created by the very talented Donna Downey for Unity. Statements to empower women....I think it is a wonderful set!

Hip Hop {ippity} Style!

Happy Hip Hop Everyone!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I have two cards to share with you today, so I am going to get right to it!

Our Challenge was to paper piece, and I love doing this technique! I still need practice at it, but I still love it..;)

My first card uses Moon Beams & Heart Strings, Simply Home and the sentiment or poem is from Delightful Little Things. I love that set, the verses are wonderful!
I used silver embossing powder on the stars and Moons and paper pieced a few of those, along with the front door and windows of the house and then colored with copics. The DP was from my stash and the Card stock was from Paper Temptress and Gina K. Used label 12 from Nestabilities of the image and the verse.
The little tree is a brad from the Eyelet Outlet.

The next one that I did used Faith Blooms, and with the paper piecing I used some Ultra Fine Citrus Flower Soft for the flower center. The CS in Gina K luxury, and the DP is from Memory Box "Enchanted".

I used nestabilities to cut the rectangles and the brads are from making memories.

Okay short and sweet! I know you have a lot of places to visit today.

I have a few other things to share this week, so I will be back tomorrow!

Enjoy the hop, and have a wonderful week!

Unity FWF 30

Happy Friday everyone!

I hope you all had a great week and have some exciting things planned for the weekend?! Hopefully a little crafting time for yourselves as well. :)

Today in another Unity FWF day, and I have something a little different than I usually do.
I did this canvas piece for my daughter's office. This poem was written by a patient and published in their newsletter. She asked if I could do something with it so that they could display it for their patients to read .She works in an area were they have oncology and outpatient treatment clients and many deal with this subject at different times. The subject being depression.
This is what I came up with. There were things that I wanted to add, like some bling ;), but my daughter wanted it very simple....that was kind of hard for me to do!...I mean, I like ribbon and bows and pearls and rhinestones and .......well you get the picture!

Anyway, let me get to it...this canvas was done using Glimmer Mist screens, glimmer mist, Claudine Hellmuth acrylic paints (Studio) and Tim Holtz distress inks and paint daubers.
My Unity stamps were used with the acrylic paints and VersaMagic ink in Magnolia Bud.
The Unity stamps I used were the Flourish from the Artist in You and the flower is Delicate Wildflowers from Donna Downey's collection. That stamp is HUGE! it is on a wood slide and it is very large. Hopefully you can see the full height of the flower on the background of the poem, I stamped it there in the VersaMagic magnolia bud. I also used it on the canvas stamped with the acrylic paint in blank canvas with a touch of sky blue in the blossom. The flourish is stamped using traditional tan.
The butterfly and the other flourish are the glimmer mist screens.

For the poem, I stamped the flower first and then ran it thru the printer.
It is hard to see, but I used the Crafters Companion top scorer to add embossing around the poem to give it a border, then distressed the edges slightly with the Tim Holtz distress tool and used antique linen distress ink on the edges.
It is mounted on prismatics card stock and those edges were distressed as well. On the corners I used some dew drops.( the only bling I could get away with! ;) )
If you click on the top photo I think it will enlarge enough so that you can read the poem.
If not and you would like a copy just let me know and I can e-mail it to you.
I hope you like this, and would really love to know what you think.
Have not done anything like this before, so I guess you could say it is part of the "journey"!
Have a great weekend,
Blessings and Hugs,
Mary

P.S. My 20% off sale is continuing on my {ipptiy} stamps! Just send me an e-mail at

{ippity} Monday Blog Hop!

Good Morning and Welcome to my blog!

Today our challenge for the {ippity} blog hop was to use fabric or canvas on our projects.
There were so many possibilites! But this is what I finally came up with!

I stamped the music sheet from the set "Music of My Heart" onto a cotton muslin using vintage photo distress ink, and then distressed the edges by pulling some of the threads and then sponging the edges with antique linen distress ink.
The paper layers are prisma card stock and the DP is from Webster's Pages. I used the distressing tool from Ranger on all the edges to carry thru with the distressed look.

The other sets that I used with this card were "Simple Things" ( the branch/leaves) the sentiment from the "Devoted" set, and the bird is from Music of my Heart as well.

I think this card would be perfect card for a "Thinking of You" where there may be a struggle or illness in someones life. Or maybe where encourgement is needed.
Well I know there are many blogs to visit today, so I won't keep you!
I hope that you enjoyed your visit!
Remember if you are intrested in any of the stamps I used today, or any of the other stamps in the {ippity} line I still have them on sale for 20% off! Please see my {ippity} page!
Thank you so much for stopping by, it means so very much!!
Blessings and Hugs,
Mary
