{Ippity}Hop Monday!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

I hope the weather is co-operating with all of your plans for today!
For any of you who are in the Service that are stopping by I want to personally Thank you for your service to our Country and for the sacrifices that you make. And also to any Families of Service Men and Women,Thank you to you as well, because I know that there are many sacrifices that you make as well. God Bless you!

Our Challenge for todays {ippity} blog hop was to do something faux!
Well this took me awhile to come up with I must admit, and I still am not sure of the results, so any feed back will be appreciated!

What I did was to create two things faux on the card, although the first is probably hard to see from these photos, and the fact that the yellow paper is so light in color probably doesn't help.( I think if you click on the picture it will show it better.)
I used the scor-pal and added score lines to make the front of the card look like "beadboard" for the front of the "house" and the second item is the faux window. I cut it out using two square nestibilites and added a "window pane" of acetate. I guess you would call it a "picture window"! I guess there is also a faux "planter box" in the front as well! tehe

I stamped the chandelier from Regal Greeting in the inside after first spraying the inside with Candle Light glimmer mist from Tattered Angels. I wanted a glow like the light was on in the home!
The sentiment is from the Simply Home set and the Butterfly is the one that is in the set Now and Always.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Enjoy the rest of the hop, and the rest of this Beautiful Day!
Blessings and Hugs,
Mary

Unity FWF Friday and {ippity} Release!

Hello Friends and Welcome to another Unity FWF Friday!

I am really excited about today's card because I used a New Release from {ippity} stamps by Unity! We had the Spring release yesterday and I think you are really going to love these new sets! It is my favorite so far!:)

The set I used for my card today is a set called "Now & Always".
It has 4 different flower images, and a flourish which I stamped on the DP, a leaf and a Butterfly in the set! It retails for $24.00,but I have it on special right now( as with all the sets) for 20% off, plus a flat rate shipping of $3.00!

The Flower image I used is in the set, and I stamped it several times on Grungeboard from Ranger, used 2 different blue Distress inks (from Ranger) and then sprayed them with different colors of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Robin's egg blue, turquoise blue, Dazzling Diamonds, and then Blue Martini from Making Memories!)
Once that was dry I cut the flowers apart and reconstructed the flower.
The center of the flower is red flower soft.
I stamped the flourish on October Afternoon Thrift Shop Needs Paint, and colored the leaves with a green copic marker. I used a flower punch from EK success in the corner. And a corner chomper to round the corners. The DP is layered on Rocket Red from GinaK Designs, which popped up with dimensional dots.

The card base is White Diamond from the Paper Temptress.
I used this card for my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day, so I used a simple greeting of Happy Mother's Day on the inside. But this card could be used for any occasion just by changing the sentiment on the inside.

I hope that you are enjoying the Hop today. Thank you so much for stopping by, I truly do appreciate it!

Unity FWF

Hi everyone!
Hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to a great weekend! Happy Mother's Day to all!
This will be quick as it is 3:00 am! I kept re-doing this and didn't realize how late it was...

Anyway, I created a wall hanging using both the KOM and the Store kit from last month. The butterfly image was stamped on stamp board and then I used alcohol inks for the background and the embossed the butterfly and colored her in with sharpies "Mark-its". I also made the background paper using and image from the store kit and then embossing and coloring lightly with my copics.
The other butterflies are made out of plum tin from ten second studios.

I will hang this in my office as a nice little reminder each day!
Have a wonderful day and Thank you so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate it!

Hugs and Blessings,

Mary

H{ippity}Hop Monday!

Good Morning and Welcome to my Blog!

First I want to say Happy Birthday to my youngest daughter Danielle, who is 26 today! (Yikes!) I love you Honey!!

Okay, now it is another H{ippity}hop Monday, and our challenge this week was to create or use a 3-D-flower on our project.
Well, I used velvet and embossed it, then cut the flowers out using my sizzix wedding flower die. I also cut out some Tulle and sprayed that with some shimmerez. It does have some sparkle to it but it is hard to pickup in the photo. I used a pink pearl brad from Bazzil as the center.
To give the velvet the ability to hold its shape, I used some therm o web peel and stick and adhered it to card stock that I had stamped with the music sheet image, now you can't see it here, but it does finish off the back nicely.

The stamps sets that I used for this Thinking of you card are "Music of my Heart" and the branch is from the set "Devoted". The papers are: Husk from Prismatics for the Music sheet which is stamped using Vintage Sepia, GinaK pure luxury ivory for the other images and the card base. Since I was using my copics to color the images in, I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink. The DP is s.e.i Chocolat, and the mats are Ginak chocolate chip. My Nestibilities, where would I be without them!? :D

I used labels 1 and the largest in the set for the music sheet. Then I traced around the outside of the die to form the perfect size mat.And then the Ribbon tag trio nestie set for the sentiment.
The sentiment in "Music of my Heart" comes written all on one line but I masked off the "of you" and just stamped the "thinking" and then reversed the masking so that I could place the sentiment as you see it. As you can also see I cut out my other images and popped them up using pop dots to give some more depth.
Well I hope you like it!
If you are interested in any of the {ippity} sets, just send me and e-mail and I will get right back to you.You can check out all the sets on my {ippity} page, just click on the link at the top of my page! And in case you hadn't heard yet, there is another release coming very soon and the excitement is already building! The great thing is that all of these sets work so well together, it really adds to the versatility and the value of {ippity} sets! We can't give you any clues yet or sneak peeks...but Believe me when I say You are going to Love what is coming!!
Thank you for stopping by, it means a great deal to me!
Have a great day and enjoy the Hop!
Hugs and Blessings,
Mary
