Happy New Year!!

Oh my Goodness Everyone!!

I guess I have really lost track of things! I had no idea that it had been this long since I had posted!
I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and will be posting regularly starting after tomorrow!

I wanted to stop in and wish you all the Happiest of New Years! May you all be Blessed with Happiness, Good Health and lots of Inspiration!

Although many things have been going on in my life as of late, many things need to be examined still. One of which how poorly I have been keeping up with this Blog!! lol
Health issues can be a real drag as many of you know, but it is all in the way we handle them that speaks about who we are. And that is where I need to take some action! ;D

Why I just shared that I am not sure, but maybe I feel safe in admitting it to someone other than my family! haha!

I will share the Christmas card that I did for a card swap with our group " Mixed Media Mondays" with Tracy Weinzapfel! I used stamps from Eat Cake Graphics, dies from Nestabilites and Tim Holtz Sizzix, card stock from Gina K and design papers from MME, Kaiser Craft and Echo Park.( not all on the same card! haha) I hope you like it! I know that I received some amazing cards in return! The Ladies in this group are so talented!!  And they are so supportive and nurturing both in art and in life situations. There is always someone there for you. If you would ever like to check the group out let me know and I will send you the link for the class on Monday nights on U-Stream. :D

Anyway!
Happy New Year Everyone!
And a late Merry Christmas as well!

Blessings and Hugs,
Mary

Gingham Christmas Greetings!

Hi Everyone!

First off sending my Prayers and lots of hugs to all of those affected by Sandy! My heart goes out to all of you.

Today with have another Christmas set to share with you for the {ippity} Fabulous Feature! Are you getting into the Christmas card making mode yet!?  haha!
I am starting early this year! (of course I say that every year! tehe)

I did a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4" card that could be used as either a card to mail, or makes the perfect size as a gift card as well.

The design paper is from echo park "Christmas This n That", cardstock is Chocolate brown and Ivory pure luxury from GinaK. I used Memento inks and clear embossing powders for the images and the sentiment.
Nestibilities for the cutting of the layers and the tag and lots of pop dots to give dimension to the layers and to the trees! ;)
A pretty simple card to put together once you have your pieces stamped, embossed and cut out. The little holly leaf and berries is actually a button that I cut the back off of. I think I purchased it in a Christmas selection bag at Michael's last year.
And then I added the grosgrain ribbon that i had also purchased at Michael's.

I hope you like it!
Thank you so much for stopping by! You have no idea how much it means and how your comments lift me! :)

Blessings and Hugs,
Mary

Kissmass and Mistletoe!

Hi Everyone!

Today I am back with and oldie but a goodie! Especially with the Holiday's approaching! ;)

We are showcasing "Kissmass and Mistletoe", one of {ippity's} first Christmas sets. Of course since it is snowflakes and a snowman it can be used for any winter holiday!

This is a project that I did awhile back, but I thought I would re-post it since I think it is a great idea for gift giving!
I did a candle, using tissue paper to stamp on with versamark, and then embossed the images using white and turquoise embossing powder. The border of numbers at the bottom is also a Unity stamp.
I then melted the candle just slightly with my heat tool and covered the candle with the tissue, allowing it to absorb the wax. This way the candle becomes safe to burn since the fibers of the tissue paper are now filled with the wax.

I added little adhesive gems to the centers of the snowflakes for some added sparkle.

And then tied turquoise organza ribbon to the base with a stick pin that I added a snowflake and turquoise crystal charm to.

I hope you give it a try! I first saw the tutorial for this candle on stamptv.com ( I think! it has been awhile!) If you have any questions about it please e-mail me at maryscreativejourney@gmail.com and I will try to answer any questions that you may have about it!
Thank you for stopping by today!
Hugs,

Mary

It's the "Most Wonderful Time" of the year!

Hi Everyone!!

Back today with another Ippity Wednesday Fabulous Feature! And today we are sharing "The Most Wonderful Time"!
Hard to believe that the Christmas season is getting so close! And I think for most of us card makers and crafter's, Christmas projects have to start early, so I don't feel to bad showing you Christmas sets already! Kind of like when you go into Costco and they already have Halloween stuff up and it is only the 4th of July!! HahaHa!!

I created two different tags using this set. One just using the sentiment and the other with the image of the sleigh!

The design paper was cut to fit the tags. I used Memory Box dp on the Deer tag, and on the sleigh I used a new 6x6 design paper by GinaK designs!

I used dies from spellbinders and Tim Holtz Sizzix.

I applied stickles to the pine cones for some sparkle, and around the edges of the tag some distress inks.
For the sleigh I first colored it in with Copics and then applied Stickles over the top.
The snowflakes are from petaloo that I purchased from i {heart} papers! And then I applied some little sticky back gems to the centers of the snowflakes and to the snowflakes on the design paper.

For the time being I have left these with out a To and From or specific occasion on them. This way if I need a Thank you or gift tag I can add that at the time.

I hope you like them!
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
If you would like to purchase this adorable set you can find it HERE! :D

Have a Great Day!
Sending each of you Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

The card stock is from GinaK. The image was stamped on pure luxury and colored in with copics. The design paper is from echo park. I used spellbinders to cut and emboss all of the different layers.

I also used glitter from the Art Institute around the edges of the butterfly layers, just for some added sparkle!

Wednesday's Fab Feature "Oh my Darling!"

Hi Everyone!

Today is Wednesday and time for another Fabulous Feature by Ippity!

Today we have our one from our newest release, our Vintage set "Oh my Darling!".

This is such a fun set to work with! What I decided to do was a gift card holder! It is the perfect set to use for a feminine birthday, or a thank you, or even just a random act of kindness for a girlfriend or co-worker!

I found the tutorial for this gift card on Stamp TV originally here.
The cardstock that I used for the base is GinaK pure luxury Chocolate Chip. I stamped the image on GinaK cream cardstock with Memento peanut brittle and then colored it in lightly with copics ( R000 and R11) I used just a little bit of R01 below in the "cage" area.
The designer paper is from Graphic 45. I think it is just perfect for this set, so vintage!
Ribbon is from my stash, and it was the last little bit, which makes me very sad because for some reason I just love this ribbon! I think it is from Maya Road which could explain why I love it so much! LOL
On the inside of the holder I placed the "measuring" tape piece from the set just over a semicircle I cut in the fold where the gift card is placed. It actually made opening the slot easier.  The sentiment is from a co-branded Unity and Cosmo Cricket set called "Get Scrappy With" from the Material Girl line . The image comes with a "stitched" border around it, but it was to large for the area, so I inked up just the words and then drew in my own "stitches"!
I used Nestabilities to cut out my main image on the front as well as for the sentiment.

I hope you like my little project! I think I will do another using this set and this design paper; but this time I am going to put the floral on the outside and the images of the Ladies with their hats, gloves and  dresses on the inside!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Please let me know if  you have any questions about the set or the holder itself. You can e-mail me at maryscreativejourney@gmail.com. Or stop by my facebook page "Get Creative with Ippity" and say Hi! I would love for you to share your work with me and the rest of my followers!

Have a great day!

Fab Feature Halloween Greetings!

Hi Everyone!

Today is Wednesday and besides being the day that means it is midway through the week and almost the weekend, it is another Ippity Fab Feature Day!
Today we are showcasing the adorable Halloween set " Halloween Greetings"!
I just love this little Halloween Witch! She is so sweet!

I used a sizzix folder on some Tim Holtz core'dination's paper for the background, copics and copic  glitter markers to color in our little Witch. Spellbinder oval die to cut the main image and the Tags are the Fancy label 2.
I did stamp the image twice and cut out her dress and hat and then attached them to this image to give a little more dimension. I know you really can't tell from these photos.

I hope you like how I have used this adorable little set!
Thank you for stopping by!
I will be back tomorrow with some pages from the Art journal that I have been working on!

Have a great day!

Blessings and Hugs,
Mary

A Fall Friends with Flair!

Happy Friday Everyone!

I hope you had a great week! At least for most it was a short one! ;)

Today I have a fall card to share with you using 2 different sets from Ippity! It uses the new image for Halloween "Halloween Greetings" and our fall set "Fall for you" which was our featured set on Wednesday!

I used copics to color the images and a Spica glitter pen on our cute little witch. She does come with out a face by the  way,so I just drew one in for her! LOL
The pumpkins and the large fall leaves are from the "Fall for you " set. The other smaller oak leaves I did using glossy photo paper and ranger alcohol inks, and then a fiskars oak leaf punch. I loved the mixture of the colors that I was able to achieve using the alcohol ink. And the nice thing is you can do up a large piece of paper and then just punch away! So you have plenty for other projects! :D

I hope you like her!
If you have any questions or I can help you with an order or anything please leave me a comment or e-mail me at maryscreativejourney@gmail.com. Or you can find me on Facebook as well! "Get Creative with Ippity", I would love it if you became a follower and shared your creations and projects on my page as well!

Thank you for stopping by today! I so appreciate your time and each one of your comments!

Blessings for a wonderful weekend!

Unity Friends with Flair!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Friday! And the start of a long weekend! I know there are several people in my Family that are very excited about that, and I would bet the same is for most of you!

Today I have 2 cards to share with you using an image from the April 2012 Kit of the Month.
I wanted to do a couple cards  that were simple and with black and white except for the image.
And this is what I came up with:

I have used GinaK pure luxury for the image and the black matting. The design paper is Teresa Collins "Fabrications".
I used spellbinders to cut the images and the mats.
And I also used copics to color in the images. Still trying to work on those blends!! ;)

Well, I hope that you like them! Thank you so much for stopping by,and for all the sweet words that you leave, I take each comment to heart!
Have a great weekend Everyone, and stay safe!!

Blessings and Hugs,
Mary

naughty. nice. not sure! A Christmas Gift Card Holder!

Hi Everyone!

Well the weekend is almost here, and it is a Holiday Weekend!! Woohoo! I hope you make time to do some crafty things this weekend since there is an extra day to play! (hopefully!)

Today I have another project using a New Release from Ippity called "naughty.nice.not sure." Isn't that a cute title!?
And the set is adorable! Something a little non-traditional than your usual Christmas set, don't you think? :)

My project is a Gift card holder:

I found the tutorial for this over on Stamp Tv here!  There is a part one video and a part two.
I used GinaK pure luxury card stock for the Santa image that I colored with copics, glitter and a snow writer. The chocolate chip card stock is also from GinaK.
The designer paper is October Afternoon "Very Merry".

I used a spellbinder Fleur De Lis Accent Die for the piece behind Santa. And pop dots under he and his "naughty or nice" list! :D

I hope that you like it! Trying to get a head start on my Christmas cards and gift items and this release is helping me out! We have one other Christmas set in this release called "most Wonderful time". And I will be back soon with another project with that set. It is an adorable Sleigh image and sentiment. Then that leaves our Vintage set called ""oh my Darling".

See you soon! Thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,

Halloween Greetings! It is Release Day!!

Hi Everyone!

Have you enjoyed all the wonderful eye candy on our Ippity Release Blog Hop?! We have some very talented Ippity Chicks Don't you think?! :D

I am the last of the chicks on the hop so after me I will send you back to the Ippity Blog.
But first my card! I used the new release "Halloween Greetings" illustrated by Angie Blom and Joslyn Nielson.

I used our adorable little Halloween witch and placed her by the window that I cut out using a Memory Box die. She is on the inside looking out! The chandelier is from another Unity set called "fright night", the dp is from Echo Park "Apothecary Emporium". I used some copic glitter pens to color in the image and to add a little light to the chandelier which I had cut out and used pop dots for dimension. I have also used pop dots under the little witch as well.

On the inside I also framed the window with another die cut  and then added the flower box die cut also from Memory Box. I think before I send this card out that I will add some dried flowers to the little box. The bats and the extra small trees are also from the set "fright night" stamped in memento ink. The bats I used clear embossing powder on,and I fussy cut 2 of them out to give some dimension to the night sky!

This dp is also from that same paper stack from echo park. The sentiment is from the new release Halloween Greetings. And I stamped some extra trees on this page as well. What I also like about the sentiment is that because of the chevron pattern around the words you could use the sentiment all on its own with just some designer paper and twine or halloween ribbon. And the set blends so well with the other Halloween sets from Unity!

Yes, I think it needs some dried flowers in the window? ;)
Well, I hope you like my project and that it has given you some inspiration!

Be looking tomorrow for another project and on the Unity Blog for the Sale that will be starting tomorrow! Fall sets will be up to 50% off! :D

So now you can get back to the Ippity Blog by clicking here!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Your visit and your comments mean the world to me!

Blessings and Hugs,
