It is a Linky Monday!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend!
Saturday was moving day for my youngest Daughter. She bought a condo all on her own,and I am so proud of her!! And even though she is only 2.3 miles ( Not that we would calculate or anything! lol ) it still seems strange that she and her dog are not here. Although I do get Daisy ( her Siberian husky) for doggie daycare when she is at work! ;)  I don't know why I am having a strange time with this. I think of the Mom's whose children move across country or even abroad! I would be a basket case! Lol

Anyway I made this card for her. I used a NEW release stamp set from {ippity} called"BE BRAVE...BRANCH OUT".

The clock in the background is from Unity's stamp set "the TIME is NOW",and I stamped it using VersaMark Champagne.
The sentiment was done by using only the bottom half of the stamp say "Beauty is all around- It is time to fly". I just used tape and covered the words before I inked them up,that way you can position the sentiment the way you want it.
On the inside I stamped the clock again using VersaMark, and then stamped the Birds in flight from Unity's "With Sympathy" in memento rich cocoa over the top of the clock.
The sentiment is from "The time is Now".

The design paper on the front is from Memory Box,card stock is GinaK pure luxury. The image on the front of the card was colored in with copics and a clear star glitter pen from Sakura.

I hope you like what you see!

An Art Journal!

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a Blessed Sunday!

I have something different for you today!
I started an on-line class this past week! It is an Art Journal workshop given by Tracy Weinzapfel from Helmar USA. The first class was so fun. She is doing it live on U-stream so were are all working together from the kit that she provided. She is a blast! And we are almost neighbors! She lives near me (well probably 30 miles or so) but in the crafting world with us all over the map, it is close! Close enough to run into her in a target store! lol
Anyway, I wanted to share the cover of my journal with you today! I will share pages as I complete them. Our homework is to finish page one before the next class this week. FUN!!

Thank you for stopping by! I would love your feedback, since this is a learning experience. Many of you have probably done them and I would love to know what you think!
Thank you for taking the time. I appreciate each and every comment so much!

Have a Beautiful week!

Market Street Stamps: Stay Calm and Sip On!

Happy Wednesday!

Can you believe I am back already! tehe!
Today I wanted to share with you a card that I did for a good friend who recently had surgery. I used a stamp single from Market Street stamps that I purchased from I {heart} papers. Kate has a wonderful selection on her website, and  a lot of new ones since she returned from CHA!

I used Ginak pure luxury card stock, vintage photo distress ink from Range with clear embossing powder.
The large and small label Nestabilities and the film strip at the bottom from Tim Holtz. The little red wagon at the bottom has special meaning to my friend!  It involves a Large White bucket from Smart and Final, Sangria and a TGIF party at the Neighbor's home! Yes good Times!
I hope it made him chuckle!! :D
The design paper is from MME Kraft funday. I love the paper in this 6x6 pad! It is great for creating masculine cards!

The little adhesive brads are from 7gypsys.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I would love your feedback!
I will be back tomorrow!

Hugs,
Mary

An {ippity} Princess for a Day!

Hi Everyone!!
Wow, I hadn't realized it had been so long since I posted last! Well I am going to fix that this week!
I have a card to share today that I did using the BRAND NEW March Release from {ippity}called " Dream a little Dream".
Here is the Stamp Set:
This set is just 14$. And it is so fun to play with! I did a Birthday card for my Niece whose birthday is in April. For once I am trying to be ahead of the game! tehe...
For this card I used GinaK pure luxury cs, Echo park dp, copics for coloring, icicle stickles for sparkle on the flowers, and citrus crush super fine flower soft for the flower's centers.
Also used were the large and grand labels from Nestabilities as well as the tag. The white sparkle tulle is from Joann's, red crystal hearts from Hero Arts and the 2 little brads from Fancy Pants! Goodness I hope I got everyone! ;D
I did layer the flowers twice for dimension, cut into the petals a little so I could shape them. The top and bottom of the window are paper pieced, and I did use foam squares in between the layers.

If you would like to purchase this set (and who wouldn't! right! ;) ) you can do so just by clicking on my picture on the Unity Website under {ippity} by Unity! Or you can still order from me by just sending me an email to maryscreativejourney@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for stopping by,your comments always mean the world to me!
Have a great day,and I will be back with a few things that are a little different! See you then!

Hugs,
Mary
