Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to pop in and say Hello! And a wish that you all had a very Merry Christmas and that your New Year will be full of many Blessings!

I also want to apologize for being gone from my blog for so long.
We were gone the first week of December,my Husband had a conference that we attended, and when we got back, one of our fur babies took a turn for the worse.
I know I asked for prayers for him back in Sept. when he started having seizures. We had hoped that it was epilepsy and not a tumor. Things had been good, then the seizures started again,we hoped it was his weight gain and not enough of a blood level of phenobarb. It was a hard time in which we had to realize it was a tumor. We had to let him go just before Christmas.
He was a special, special boy. He found us,and helped us through so many difficulties in our lives.
It has been hard because we miss him so much. Even our other 2 fur babies miss him.

To honor him we plan one rescuing another after the first of the year. My daughter is having a really rough time not having someone on her bed at night.
Crazy isn't it how they become so much a part of the family, or at least for us they do.

Well on to happier things!
I will be back to posting later this week, and next week I am being featured as an {ippity} blossom! I am so excited, and I have a few projects to share with all of you!

Till then,
Happy New Year!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

Hello Everyone!
Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know that we did. Lots of Loving Family and great food!
Now the preparation starts for the Christmas Holidays. And with that in mind our challenge for this week was to create a ornament. Here is my attempt!
The 2 sets that I used were Sing a New Song( the bird) from the newest release, and Kissmas & mistletoe (sentiment) from the fall 2009 release, which I do have 2 in stock and waiting for good inky homes! ;)
I used both a sizzix flower die and the blossom 1 and 2 from nestabilities. There is black velvet paper, green metallic (both of these from the Paper Temptress), and the Dp is from Cosmo Cricket and American crafts. I did use gold embossing powder for the sentiment and I also used it again on the red flower just under the bird. And organza ribbon for the hanger.

I hope that you like it!

Now today is also Cyber Monday! So since I am a Cyber Business I think I should run a special Cyber Sale! Don't you think!? ;)

Wanted to share!

Hi Everyone,

It is the day before Thanksgiving and I am sure that you are all busy getting ready for the big day! For the Family and Friends that will be sharing this time with you, whether that be big or small, it doesn't really matter. It is the sharing and love that is given to one another in true Thanks for what we have been Blessed with!
May each of you be Blessed during this special time!

I know this isn't a Thanksgiving card, however I wanted to share this with you more so that you could get an idea of how large these tags are in the New Kit "Here and Now".

It is a Valentines card that I did for my Husband using 5 of the 14 stamps that are in this kit!
The tag itself measures 3 1/4 x 1 1/2" so that the different sentiments fit nicely inside.
I used Kraft card stock and the red is from prismatic. It is a very simple card, but I think okay for a masculine card, which I have such a hard time with!
I will probably end up doing another before Valentines day! I mean when have I ever been ready this far ahead of time!? tehe
I mostly did this so you could get an idea of the size. I will do this with other sets as well because I do realize it is hard for you to tell the size of things from the pictures on the sale page.
Just on case you are wondering about the size of the Sweetest Moments in Time stamp that is in this kit, it measures 4 1/4 x 2 1/4" that is the inside measurement. The spaces in between are 2/16ths".

If you ever have any questions on size of the stamps, please e-mail me I would be more than happy to measure them for you. I am going to work on some more samples and see if I can figure out  how to get them along side the images on the sale page.
I know that some of the pictures on that page don't enlarge. Those particular ones were in bit.map form and I have to figure out how to convert them. Sorry for the delay in getting that done. Took me awhile to figure that out! Well, I did say it was a journey! LOL

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone,
I am Thankful for each of you, I truly am!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

FWF Hip Hop! And some New Release Creations!!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Did you all see the New Releases yesterday from {ippity}?
Aren't they wonderful!?

I received my order on Wednesday so if you are interested in any of the new set let me know, I have them and am ready to ship! :) To celebrate the New Release I have all the sets including the new stamp sets on SALE for 30% off until Sunday November 18th at midnight, and that also includes a FREE sample pack of 6x6 paper!
Please see my {ippity} sale page for all the details! Thank you!

Okay now for the cards I want to share with you today. I have had so much fun with the new release AND creating these little mini cards! You will see some different ones on Monday,as that is the challenge this week. But I also have a scalloped card which is a challenge to celebrate the New Release!

The design paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 6x6 paper pad which is part of the {ippity} release this time! It is yummy!
These sets all combine so well with each other! But then that seems to be something that our designers are so good about! Making sure that you have a lot of versatility with the sets....it is more fun that way!!

Here are the details:
Happy Birthday card measures: 3 1/2" x 2 1/3"  and I used the deckle edge nestabilities.
sets used: Party Hat Wishes (sentiment), How you Doin' ( flower)

Celebrate card measures: 3"x2 1/2" and I used the rectangle nestabilities.
sets used: Sing and New Song ( bird) and the sentiment is from How you Doin'

Farm Fresh card: measures 4"x 2 1/2" and the scalloped large square is what I used for this one.
I thought that this would be cut as a tag on a baked item for a friend or neighbor!
The set used for this one in called: Farm Fresh
The card stock that I used for these is Kraft, and again the dp Cosmo cricket. I used Adirondack ink for distress around the edges, and copics to color the images except for the pie, I used the Adirondack inks for that.

I hope you like these little cards, and will try some yourself, they are kind of addicting!
Have a great weekend, and enjoy the rest of the Hop!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

It is a {ippity} Hip Hop Monday!

Hi Everyone!

Well the excitement is building for the new release on Thursday this week! Can you believe that {ippity} started a year ago? Wow!
This release is even more exciting than the last! Of course each time we have a new release we all say that it is our favorite! :) And with the Designers that we have I think that will always be the case!

For today's challenge we were to use numbers on our projects. And I decided that I was going to do something different than a card this time.
I did a Christmas candle! I saw a tutorial done by GinaK last year on her website stamptv.com.
I did a few of these last year using fall leaves, they were stamped with gold embossing powder and then I colored them in using alcohol inks. I gave some as gifts and my friends seemed to love them!
I am going to try to do a few more this year using the fall leaves in out {ippity} set "Fall for You".
For this candle I used the Unity stamp "Numbers, etc." for a border at the bottom. The Snowman and the large snowflake are from the {ippity}set "Kissmass and Mistletoe", which was actually from our very first release a year ago! ( which I do have on sale for 30% off right now!;)  ) The smaller snowflakes are from the {ippity} set "Season of Joy". (which is also on sale!)
I embossed the snowflakes and numbers using versamark ink and white embossing powder. The snowman is done using broken china distress embossing powder. This was done onto white tissue paper. I then used a heat tool to warm and slightly melt the wax as I placed the tissue into it so it was absorbed by the wax, fusing it to the candle.
I finished it with rhinestones in the center of the snowflakes, organza ribbon, the stick pin has a snowflake charm, and then I added a blue crystal dangle from 7 gypsies. The embellishments I purchased from Cats Craft Cupboard.

I hope you like it!
Be sure to join us on Thursday for Release Day! My stamps should be here any day, and I will have them ready for shipping come Thursday!
In the meantime please check out my {ippity} page for my current sale and Free Gift!

Thank you for stopping by and for all the kind remarks that you leave, they all mean so much!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

Today I have an Easel Card to share with you that I did with the New Unity set "Happy Everything"!
This is a Birthday card that I did for someone in my family! ;)

I used card stock from GinaK and the design paper if from Cosmo Cricket, Material Girl. I used tuxedo black Memento ink and clear embossing powder. Colored the images with copic markers.
The images were cut out using the large oblong nestibilities. For the inside scalloped edges I used 2 different punches from Fiskars.
Silk Ribbon, rhinestones and flowers from my stash.
This sentiment is from the Feb.2010 KOM, everything else is from the Happy Everything set.

The Stores that I purchased from:
Unity Website (stamp set)
Cats Craft Cupboard (Cosmo cricket dp, memento ink)
i{heart}papers ( copics,silk ribbon)

{ippity} Hip Hop!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I have been missing in action for the last 2 weeks, I have had my craft room torn apart trying to reorganize! Geesh! What a mess! But I finally have it mostly put back together at least so that I can start working again!

So today for our {ippity} Blog Hop Challenge we were to use fiber on our projects.
Since Christmas is fast approaching I decided to do a gift tin for a gift card or small item, maybe like jewelry or even small makeup items.

I used "Season of Joy" for the images, and labels 10 nestabilities to cut out the frame with the sentiment that was stamped with Memento ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I did cut the Holly out and layered the one on the bottom right corner. Added some rhinestones, and the jute fiber for the bow. I also used a crocheted trim for around the edge of the lid.

The trim is from making memories. The dp is Wonderland by Cosmo Cricket, an 8x8 pack that I have had in my stash.

I did pop a couple of foam dots under the gift card, but didn't remove the protective paper on the side touching the inside of the tin. I thought this would make it easier to remove the card from the tin. These tins are a nice depth so you could put glass magnets, or even a roll of chap stick or eyeshadow inside.
Thank you for stopping by today! If you need this set for your Holiday cards or projects just send me an email and I can get this out to you right away! I do have this in stock and ready to ship!!
Please check out my {ippity} page for any other items you may need to have as well! ;)

We are all pretty excited here because the next release will be in just a few short weeks! I placed my order this weekend so I hope to have them very soon! So come release day I will have them in stock and ready to ship!
And I will continue the Free paper sample pack with your order for a limited time!
Of course that means that you can still get that Free pack right now with any set that you order!
PLUS! I still have the sets on sale for 30% off the retail price!
It is a great deal!!

Have a great day!

A Pink {ippity} Hop!

Good Morning everyone!

Have you enjoyed all the awesome inspiration and creativity so far?
By now you know that the challenge for us this week was to create something with pink in recognition of Breast cancer Awareness month.

I used the {ippity} set: "The Simple Things" for my card. The sentiment "While I breath,I hope" I thought had special meaning for anyone or any family member of someone battling the fight against breast cancer, cancer or any terminal illness.

I have used Ginak luxury white card stock for the images and stamped them with versacolor ink then embossed with clear embossing powder. I cut out the images then layered the flower heads and used pop dots in between for dimension.
The DP is from daisyd's. The pink and brown card stock is prismatic that I purchased from Cat's Craft Cupboard. I used the Long rectangle Nestabilities for the matting around the dp and the sentiment.
Some ribbon from my stash, and rhinestones from Creative Charms. My Bow I made with the bow easy which can be purchased here:i{heart}papers, or here: Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

I hope you like it!
Thank you for stopping by!

Don't forget if you need any of the stamp sets that you have seen used today along the hop, and you don't already have an {ippity} chick, I would be more than happy to help you!
If you order thru me you will receive a Free 6x6 or 4x4 ( your choice of size) paper pack with your order, a flat rate shipping fee of 3$ for your entire order! And usually a few other goodies! ;)
Remember the Holidays are coming! Get a head start on your Holiday shopping! Why wait for "Black Friday"! ;)

Have a great week,
Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

Gift Card Challenge from i{heart}papers!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Hope you are having a great weekend so far!

I had wanted to post this yesterday, but needed to put some finishing touches on and didn't get it done!
Where does time go each day!? ;)

Anyway, I think I may still do one more thing to this but let me show you first what I have done!
The challenge was from Deb Felts, one of the DT members for i{heart}papers and the DT Challenge Coordinator....make a gift card holder.
I did a gift card holder for a recipe card that I want to send to my girlfriend. (still have to download it from the Today show! tehe)

The stamps I used are Unity stamp Company: Kitchen Logic.
Paper is October Afternoon:Root Cellar
and the CS is Rocket Red from GinaK
I used 2 pieces of the cs since this is for a 4x6 recipe card.
I think I may still add a notepad to the left hand side of this for notes on the recipes or shopping list.
The "window" on the oven door is covered with glossy accents to give it a more "glass" like appearance. The images are colored with copics.I used small magnets under the stamped images that are mounted on label 1 nestibilities, so that it will stay closed and she can keep the cards in this holder.
The magnet is under the apron on this side, and......
under the DP on this side! Now my DH who is not into crafty, but has good ideas sometimes (tehe),
suggested that I attach the band on the back so that it would stay on the folder and not get lost or messed up! I thought that was a very good idea, and I hadn't thought of it! Geesh! I should have! ;)
Well I hope you like it!

Thank you for stopping by and for all the kind comments that you leave!
You are all the Best!! And brighten my day!!

Blessings for a wonderful weekend!

i{heart}papers is 2 Years Old!

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I have a sketch challenge from i{heart} papers! She is 2 years old and having a party!! You can check out all the details here i{heart} papers. I've linked you to the sketch challenge, but be sure you check out the previous post for the scavenger hunt where you can get a 20% off code! And there are goody bags if you place an order by today! Yeah!!

Okay so here is my card: I used the couple from the Greeting Farm, and the sentiment is from the Unity Stamp Co. Sept. 09 KOM.

The DP is from Making Memories that I got from  Kate the first year that she was open!, the black cs is from the Paper Temptress and it has a linen weave to it. I ran it through the sizzix with an embossing folder.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I added some tulle and leaves that I used a punch from EK success. The images are colored in with copics, and I used a white glaze pen on her dress to give it extra shine and dimension as well as a clear star glitter pen. I did add some of the glaze to his shirt collar as well. Black rhinestones in the upper corner and also on his tuxedo jacket.

Thank you for stopping by!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

It is Monday again! And it is a {ippity} Blog Hop!!

Good Monday Everyone!
Hope you had a great weekend! Did you get the Unity WCMD challenges all done?
I tried, but came up a few short...darn!....the free KOM for a year would have been really nice to win.
But I am keeping my fingers crossed for the itty bitty drawings!!

Okay, on to the hop! I have a sticky notepad to share with you today that I covered.
The challenge this week was a color challenge: Kraft,Orange and Black.

I have used the stamp sets You Deserve and the sentiment is from Now and Always.
I stamped the flower from the set several times on different orange card stock. I used prismatic and dp from lasting impressions. The ink used was Memento tuxedo black with clear embossing powder used.
I used the small magnets from Basic Gray for the closure, hidden in the inside flap on top and bottom.
This is the back of the pad. The orange ribbon loops I placed in between some very stiff card board that I placed under the pad before I covered it to give a little more support while writing on the note pad. The loops will serve as a holder for the pen,as you can see.
This is the back and the lower part of the cover.( photo above)
The sentiment I thought was good for a notepad! ;)

Enjoy the rest of the Hop!
I will be back tomorrow since I some cards to share from all the of Unity challenges last week!
They were a lot of fun, and I learned a few things about myself in the process!

If you need any {ippity} sets please let me know if I can help. I have a 30% off sale going on,free designer paper pack (4x4 or 6x6 your choice of size) and a flat rate of 3$ for shipping. ( For total order, not per item! :)  )

Thank you for stopping by, your visits mean so much to me!

Happy {ippity} Hip Hop!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you had a great weekend with lots of crafty time!

Today we had the challenge O.C.T.....Old, Crinkled and Twine.

So I found this DP that I have had for over a year, I crinkled the maple leaves on the outside of shaker card, and the twine was used for the bow on the tag!

This card is also a Shaker card for the Unity WCMD Challenge02 posted by Lesley Langdon on the Unity forum of SCS. You still have until the 16th to enter you cards and projects!
I made the leaves (which I have used on other projects) from glossy card stock, alcohol inks and paper punches. The pouch for the shaker card is one that I purchased from impression obsession. However there is a very easy tutorial on how to make these over on Splitcoaststampers, no purchased pouch needed!
The {ippity} Stamp sets that I used for this card are "Simply Home" and the sentiment is from the "Fall for you" stamp set.
Please visit my {ippity} sales page if you are interested in either of these sets, or any of the sets in the {ippity} line. I am continuing my 10% off on the current release and 30% off of all previous releases. PLUS a FREE 4x4 or 6x6 paper pack with each order. Shipping is a flat fee of 3$.
Quite a DEAL!! :)

Have a great week, and enjoy the rest of the {ippity} goodness along the Hop!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

FWF Friday! Welcome!

Hi Everyone, and Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Today I have a card to share that is for 2 challenges from Unity!
The first is the  FWF challenge 45, and the second is Stephanie's challenge for World Card Making Day....to use a tag on your card or project.

The set I used is Unity's "Embellished Season", and I divided the image into rectangles. The inspiration piece had the image divided into squares. The images are stamped onto pure luxury by GinaK, cut out and then mounted onto card stock from DCW,then a layer of black from GinaK, then onto red metallic from the Paper Temptress, and finally onto the card base.

I used ribbon that I found a Micheal's last year after Christmas. The Holly leaves and berries are from Stampendious, and there are also some red rhinestones from Hero Arts. The green Metallic ribbon was from i{heart}papers. (I think that might have been a Freebie!! Thanks Kate!)
I used a punch for the label, some Holly and rhinestones.

I hope you like it!
Thank you for stopping by and for all the kind comments that you all leave! They really do make my day!
Have a great Friday!
Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

{ippity} Blog Hop! It must be Monday!!

Good morning everyone!

Are you enjoying all the eye candy that you have seen so far!
We have very talented people here with {ippity} and Unity! Of course with so many fun images there are so many possibilities for creativity!

Of course this last weekend was World Card Making Day and there are so many challenges still going on! You need to check out the Challenges for Unity on SCS. You still have time to win some awesome prizes!!

Today's challenge was to use metal on our cards or projects.
I had so many different ideas going thru my head! And they are still on my work table! So you will probably see them coming up in future projects. Do you do that to? Do you have a box with unused images or embellishments that you made and then changed your mind? I hope I am not the only one in that boat! lol
Anyway, I used metal corners on my card from W R Memory Keepers.
The stamps sets I used were: That's Creepy, and Totally Happy.
I did cut the flourishes off from the pumpkin and altered their placement a little, added some google eyes and drew is the rest of his face. I mean he needed to be able to see the spider coming down from behind him right! ;)
He looks a little tired in this picture! :)
I stamped the spider on the DP from Cosmo Cricket ( the nutmeg paper pack) and then stamped him again, embossed with clear EP and then used a pop dot under him.
The fence was stamped with Weathered Wood Distress ink from Ranger. All the other ink used was Memento rich cocoa, and the black ink was ranger Adirondack. I hope you like it, I really wanted to do more with the metal because it was a fun challenge! I think I just had too many possibilities!! lol

Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a great week,

Mary
