I hope the weather is co-operating with all of your plans for today!
For any of you who are in the Service that are stopping by I want to personally Thank you for your service to our Country and for the sacrifices that you make. And also to any Families of Service Men and Women,Thank you to you as well, because I know that there are many sacrifices that you make as well. God Bless you!
Our Challenge for todays {ippity} blog hop was to do something faux!
Well this took me awhile to come up with I must admit, and I still am not sure of the results, so any feed back will be appreciated!
What I did was to create two things faux on the card, although the first is probably hard to see from these photos, and the fact that the yellow paper is so light in color probably doesn't help.( I think if you click on the picture it will show it better.)
I used the scor-pal and added score lines to make the front of the card look like "beadboard" for the front of the "house" and the second item is the faux window. I cut it out using two square nestibilites and added a "window pane" of acetate. I guess you would call it a "picture window"! I guess there is also a faux "planter box" in the front as well! tehe
I stamped the chandelier from Regal Greeting in the inside after first spraying the inside with Candle Light glimmer mist from Tattered Angels. I wanted a glow like the light was on in the home!
The sentiment is from the Simply Home set and the Butterfly is the one that is in the set Now and Always.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Enjoy the rest of the hop, and the rest of this Beautiful Day!
Blessings and Hugs,
Mary
