Unity Friends with Flair!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Friday! And the start of a long weekend! I know there are several people in my Family that are very excited about that, and I would bet the same is for most of you!

Today I have 2 cards to share with you using an image from the April 2012 Kit of the Month.
I wanted to do a couple cards  that were simple and with black and white except for the image.
And this is what I came up with:

I have used GinaK pure luxury for the image and the black matting. The design paper is Teresa Collins "Fabrications".
I used spellbinders to cut the images and the mats.
And I also used copics to color in the images. Still trying to work on those blends!! ;)

Well, I hope that you like them! Thank you so much for stopping by,and for all the sweet words that you leave, I take each comment to heart!
Have a great weekend Everyone, and stay safe!!

Blessings and Hugs,
Mary

naughty. nice. not sure! A Christmas Gift Card Holder!

Hi Everyone!

Well the weekend is almost here, and it is a Holiday Weekend!! Woohoo! I hope you make time to do some crafty things this weekend since there is an extra day to play! (hopefully!)

Today I have another project using a New Release from Ippity called "naughty.nice.not sure." Isn't that a cute title!?
And the set is adorable! Something a little non-traditional than your usual Christmas set, don't you think? :)

My project is a Gift card holder:

I found the tutorial for this over on Stamp Tv here!  There is a part one video and a part two.
I used GinaK pure luxury card stock for the Santa image that I colored with copics, glitter and a snow writer. The chocolate chip card stock is also from GinaK.
The designer paper is October Afternoon "Very Merry".

I used a spellbinder Fleur De Lis Accent Die for the piece behind Santa. And pop dots under he and his "naughty or nice" list! :D

I hope that you like it! Trying to get a head start on my Christmas cards and gift items and this release is helping me out! We have one other Christmas set in this release called "most Wonderful time". And I will be back soon with another project with that set. It is an adorable Sleigh image and sentiment. Then that leaves our Vintage set called ""oh my Darling".

See you soon! Thank you for stopping by!

Halloween Greetings! It is Release Day!!

Hi Everyone!

Have you enjoyed all the wonderful eye candy on our Ippity Release Blog Hop?! We have some very talented Ippity Chicks Don't you think?! :D

I am the last of the chicks on the hop so after me I will send you back to the Ippity Blog.
But first my card! I used the new release "Halloween Greetings" illustrated by Angie Blom and Joslyn Nielson.

I used our adorable little Halloween witch and placed her by the window that I cut out using a Memory Box die. She is on the inside looking out! The chandelier is from another Unity set called "fright night", the dp is from Echo Park "Apothecary Emporium". I used some copic glitter pens to color in the image and to add a little light to the chandelier which I had cut out and used pop dots for dimension. I have also used pop dots under the little witch as well.

On the inside I also framed the window with another die cut  and then added the flower box die cut also from Memory Box. I think before I send this card out that I will add some dried flowers to the little box. The bats and the extra small trees are also from the set "fright night" stamped in memento ink. The bats I used clear embossing powder on,and I fussy cut 2 of them out to give some dimension to the night sky!

This dp is also from that same paper stack from echo park. The sentiment is from the new release Halloween Greetings. And I stamped some extra trees on this page as well. What I also like about the sentiment is that because of the chevron pattern around the words you could use the sentiment all on its own with just some designer paper and twine or halloween ribbon. And the set blends so well with the other Halloween sets from Unity!

Yes, I think it needs some dried flowers in the window? ;)
Well, I hope you like my project and that it has given you some inspiration!

Be looking tomorrow for another project and on the Unity Blog for the Sale that will be starting tomorrow! Fall sets will be up to 50% off! :D

So now you can get back to the Ippity Blog by clicking here!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Your visit and your comments mean the world to me!

A Basket Full of Wishes!

Hi Everyone!

Well I know it isn't Thursday like I originally thought  that I was going to post this, but I found out that my Girlfriend was having her mail re-routed and hadn't received her card yet! I hope that she was able to pick it up today! ;D

I used Unity's "A Basket Full of Wishes" for her Birthday card, and I so hope that she will like it!
I used distress inks and a sponge applicator for the background. The image was colored with both copics and the copic glitter pens. I used spellbinders lattice rectangles for the mat,and a corner rounded on the flower dp. The papers are from echo park, and card stock is GinaK pure luxury.

The purple ribbon for the bow was in a grab bag from the stamp simply ribbon store. She has grab bags of different colors and the ribbon are wonderful!

Make sure you stop by the Unity store this weekend for some great deals! There is the 12,000 facebook friends sale AND the most important sale to help out our own Unity Employee newly diagnosed with Leukemia. We are trying to help out he and his family. Robert and Monica both work for Unity. Please check it out!

A Farm Fresh Feature Wednesday!

Hi Everyone!

It is a "Farm Fresh" Feature today!

{ippity} set IPK-145 Farm Fresh that is! This is such a adorable set and all of us are showing different ways that you can create using it! How fun!

Here is the card that I did for today, I hope you like it!

I embossed with a Tim Holtz Distress Sun Rays embossing folder onto his Distress collection core'dinations colorcore card stock and then lightly sanded it. The green textile background dp is from Teresa Collins "Fabrications" paper pad.
I tore around the edges of the embossed layer and then used a distress ink pad in wild honey. I used all distress inks today and the Tim Holtz distress markers to color in the images. I did stamp the barn twice and then poped up the second layer using foam dots to give some dimension.

The tractor brad is from MME and the buttons are from my BIG button jar! ;)
I did use Kraft card stock from GinaK designs for the base of the card. I felt that the Kraft  was the way to go with a farm theme! LOL

I do really love this set, there are just so many possibilities. The pie image in the set is perfect for tags that you could attach to baked goods with the same sentiment from above or one that says "from my kitchen" either hand written or with a stamp from our "What's Cooking"set with the adorable Chef, or our itty bitty set "From My Kitchen". I think it is so great how many of our sets work so well together to give you so many options and possibilities!
If you need help with ordering or have any question about our products please don't hesitate to e-mail me, I would be happy to help you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by today, it means the world to me!

I'll be back tomorrow to share a Birthday card that I did for a Dear Friend of mine! I had to wait to share until she received it which I think she should have by today! ;D

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

Feature Wednesday! And a Michael's inspired craft!

Hi Everyone!

Well it is Wednesday and that means time for another Fabulous Feature Kit from {ippity}!
This week we are showcasing our ADORABLE Alphabet set called "Alphabetically Adorable"!

My project this week was helped along by a trip into Michael's this weekend, although probably not in the manner that you are first thinking, which is retail therapy! haha!
My daughter and I went in and they were having a quick make-n-take project using 2 12x12 pieces of scrapbook paper, and it was FREE! So we thought why not!? Well the craft project was called a pocket, and I wish that I had really looked at the name tag of the young lady that was instructing us because she was very sweet and very patient as we picked out our patterned paper. She had several selections to choose from. The one that I used I think was from sei, it was one of their baby sets.
We made the basic pocket there and then I embellished it and added the name of my daughter's girlfriend's baby who is due any time now! :D

You use 2 sheets of 12x12 paper, cutting the front that will act as the pocket to 8". Then line them up at the bottom and then go all the way around using strips of duct tape! It is that easy! Now as we were talking the young lady said that you could certainly add another page cut at 4" to make one more pocket on the front. You can use these for adding any types of papers, photos, could certainly do one for your kids for their homework or papers that they bring home to have signed etc. Bills would be another idea.
I used the alphabet to spell the Baby's name ,colored  it in using memento markers and attached to card stock from GinaK designs that I cut out using nestabilities.
I left that corner open on the left hand side for a photo of Adriannah to be put once she arrives! ;) I also added some little clips at the top to hang little reminder notes and mementos.
This is a fun alphabet set and so whimsical, I just love it!

Next time you are in Micheal's check out their make-n-takes, their free and only take a few minutes! Oh and if the young Lady that helped us out on Sunday stops by here today and you leave me your name in the comment section I will add it to this posts! I would love to give you credit! :)
Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Mary

Quotes a 'la Happy! Feature Wednesday!

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe it is Wednesday again already! LOL

But I am glad that it is because this week for our {ippity} Feature Wednesday set we are showcasing "Quotes a' La Happy"! This is one of my favorite sets. This set makes me happy each time I use it! :D

Here is the card that I did using 2 of the images and one of the sentiments in the kit. The kit does come with 5 images and 5 sentiments!

I cut a window in the front using various nestabilites. I used a combination of Memento markers and copics to color the images. The dp is from echo park and the cards stock is GinaK and Prism. The flower sticker are from American Crafts.

This is the inside cover. I used a mirror image stamp mat to stamp the birds again so  that I could cover the back of the image so it didn't show the unfinished side when it was opened. ;)

Well I hope you like it and that it gives you a little inspiration in using this adorable set by {ippity}! If you don't have it already and would like to add it to your collection just send me an e-mail and I can help you with that. Or you can go to the Unity website and order directly from the site! Very easy, just be sure to pick a chick and then you will be able to order from the site!

Have a great day! And Thank you so much for stopping by!

Mary

Feature Wednesday and Link up for Pink!

Hi Everyone!

Today I want to share a card that I did for an on-line Breast cancer awareness site that is doing monthly challenges, and a on-line Blog Hop that will be held in October! Prizes are being donated by many Big sponsors! I will be donating a big basket of goodies as well! And this month I have donated the {ippity} stamp kit "All Things are Possible" to one lucky winner who participates in the sketch challenge. You can find out all the details Here at Link up for Pink!  Here is the sketch:

I have used two {ippity} sets on my card today, the Butterfly is from "Courage is my Strength" and the sentiment is from our Feature set today " Dream to be".

I love how nicely so many of the {ippity} sets can work together, especially when there are sentiments that can be used for multiple occasions. The word "hope" on the Butterfly is also so perfect with out featured set! Don't you think!?
Thank you for stopping by today. And I do hope that you will check out the Link up for Pink site and help to spread the awareness of the sight, the challenges and of course the BIG Blog Hop that will be taking place in October!

Until next time!
Blessings and Hugs,
Mary
