Unity FWF! Happy Friday Everyone!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a great week! I know I said I would post sooner, but the week kind of got away from me! Plus I decided I wanted to wait and post this card for FWF!

It is the Mother's Day card that I did for my Mom! I thought this image of the family of birds was perfect since there are four of us in my family. My 2 daughters and my husband, So the four of us singing Happy Mother's Day! LOL
The birds also fit the "Tweet Tweet" Unity challenge this month as well!
Oh, and a Kit of the Month also! :D

I used dp from October Afternoon, card stock from GinaK,nestabilities, the scallops I did using my new Cricut Expression that my husband bought me for Mother's Day! He is so sweet, trying to make things easier for me and my RSD and carpal tunnel issues. However I think  carpal tunnel comes with the territory though right!! ;)

The trim is from a grab bag I bought from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  She has different color groups for 4.25 a bag! So worth it!!
I have another Mother's Day card to post that I did for my Mother-in-law and I used the sketch challenge for that one. I will post that one tomorrow! I promise!

Well Have a great Day!
We have exciting news coming on the {ippity} front, so stay tuned!

Blessings and Hugs,
Mary

A receipe page!

Hi Everyone!

Today I have a recipe page to share with you! It is a challenge that Unity Stamps has for National Scrapbooking Day which was last Saturday.
I have wanted to start  recipe books for my daughters for quite some time so this was just what I needed to get me started! They each have their own favorites,so I will try to personalize them.

The first one that  I did is my youngest daughter's favorite sauce....a Bolognese meat sauce that I found on food TV years ago by Emeril Lagasse, It is really good!  :D

The base is kraft card stock and the dp and journaling cards are from October Afternoon. The stamps are Unity stamp co. "Kitchen Logic" and "Homemade by"...the apron and oven are from kitchen logic and the plate of spaghetti and meatballs ( above the cow) are from homemade by. The ink is tuxedo black and cantaloupe by memento.
Since not all of the directions would fit on one journaling card, I used a second and slide it under the first, using the oven as a kind of tab to pull it out from underneath.

I had wanted to put a picture of the dish, however I didn't think I could put it on this page, it is already quite busy!
I think I will take one and put it on the back side of the page. I will put these in an album with clear page protectors, that way she could see a picture on the back .Maybe one of all of us around enjoying it together! The opening is on the side so she can slide her hand in to pull out the card.

Thank you for stopping by today. I know your time is precious, and I so appreciate it!
I have a couple more cards to share with you this week, so I will be back tomorrow!
Until then Have a Beautiful Day!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

I used 2 different stamp kits from Unity "Insightful Meadows" co-brand with Donna Downey, and "Carte Postale" a co-brand with iron orchid!

I hope you like it!

Thank you for stopping by!

Blessings and Hugs for a Beautiful day!

{ippity} Monday! Oh, and a Mother's Day Sale!! WooHoo!!

Hi Everyone!

Oh my goodness I have been gone for a while!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter filled with many Blessings!

I am here today with a card for the final part of our {ippity} Twist challenge for April!
AND please see my {ippity} sale page for all the info on my Mother's Day Sale!! :D

The last 2 parts of the challenge was a photo inspiration and the twist of no sentiment.
Here is what I have to share with you today! I hope you like it!

I used the {ippity} set called "Best Wishes and Blooms" for this very simple card. The image was cut out using rectangle nestabilties plain and scalloped. And I colored the image with copic markers and for the glitter used a clear spica glitter pen. The twist part of no sentiment is kind of nice since it allows you to choose something for the inside to fit whatever occasion you may need. I think this card would be good to brighten some one's day,for a birthday or a thank you card as well!

The background paper from MME reminds me of the lanterns that are floating above and around the chair in the photo inspiration for the challenge. As well as the Hot Air Balloons for the sense of whimsy and the feeling in the air of a cool summer day! The Dp that the image is mounted on is from October Afternoon and the card stock is Gina K pure luxury. I found the Hot Air Balloons at eyelet factory.com.

Thank you for stopping by today! I will be back soon. I did a card using one of the techniques that Lesley Langdon did on Unity Tv (u tube) a couple weeks ago using distress inks and clear embossing powder. It was sooooo much fun! I thought I had already shared it but I guess I didn't! :)
Have you checked out Unity Tv yet? If not you should!! :D

Oh! and by the way, the {ippity} blog is going to under go some changes! They are being very secretive right now but they tell us there is some really exciting stuff coming!! So there won't be a month long challenge for May, BUT they say it is going to be worth it! Which I am sure that it will be!!

I will be back soon!

Have a great week!
Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

It is another {ippity} Monday Hip Hop!! (And a SALE!)

Hi Everyone!
(Make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post for my Tax Day Relief Sale! ;) )

Today is another {ippity} Hip Hop and this week the challenge added to our month long challenges was a color inspiration. The colors were ivory, taupe,a blue turquoise and a deep red.
I created a CAS Birthday card.

I used the {ippity} set "Regal Greetings" for the Chandelier, and the sentiment is from "Just wanted to Say". For the main image I stamped it twice onto Gina K pure luxury ivory card stock and embossed it 3 times in clear embossing powder to give it a glossy texture. Then I cut out one of the images and used thin adhesive squares from Zva to pop it up just a little for dimension. The red tear drop crystals and the square crystals in the corners were actually clear, but I colored them with a deep red copic marker!

I cut the main image out using the new Fleur de lis rectangle die from nestabilities and then matted that onto a turquoise blue card stock (also from GinaK) that had been cut out with a rectangle nestabilitie.
I used 2 colors of ribbon taupe and a deep red,and then the sentiment is stamped with pumice stone from ranger distress inks which is a kind of a taupe color, and then I did use clear embossing powder as well to help it to stand out a little better. :)
The main image is also elevated just slightly using the thin foam squares from Zva for dimension as well.

I hope that you like it! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Remember today is the last day to mail those taxes in!!

You know I think I will run a little  sale today, because it is tax day,and some of us could use a break right about now!! ;)
So how about a 15% off the regular price of all stamps including the singles!
Also if you are one of my customers that is close to the 150$ mark to qualify for my Customer Appreciation program, or you spend 150$ today ( after the 15% off and before shipping ) then I will qualify you with this order and you can deduct and extra 5% from your order! So you would receive a total of 20% off!! Now that is a break! Right!? :D
Please see my {ippity} sale page for all of the kits and singles that are available!

See you soon!

A Fashion Forward Challenge!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I hope your week is going well so far! Are you starting to  make weekend plans yet!? That usually helps to get through the rest of the week, doesn't it?? ;)
Today I have a card that I did for this months Unity Challenge which was Fashion Forward.
So I did a Birthday card using the set "Undeniably You" from  Unity Stamp Co.
I used card stock from GinaK,black and Ivory. The black base was run through my cuttlebug using the swiss dots embossing folder. On the Ivory I did use some Memento Angel Pink for softness around the image. I used Unity's Palette Noir for the main image and the sentiment,as well as some clear embossing powder. The ink can be purchased through {ippity} so if you are interested just let me know! I really like this hybrid ink, and it seems to work fine with my copics and perfectly with embossing!

I used Cosmo Cricket Delovely for the dp behind the image, and Making Memories for the skirt of the dress which I paper pieced, along with copic glitter pens to color in the bodice and the ruffle of the dress. The crystal flourishes are from Zva,and I cut them apart. The image and the extra layers were cut our using the oval nestabilites and then pop dots to give the layers some dimension.

For the inside of the card, the sentiments are from the sets "Sweet Celebration" and "Happy Everything" from Unity as well as from a set by Hero Arts called "Celebrate all Day".

The sentiments from the 2 sets just seemed to work so well together! I did use a clear star pen on the main 2 sentiments to make them stand out as one verse even though they were from 2 different Unity sets! Love when you combine the sets,it just gives you so many more possibilities. The martini glasses are from Zva as well. I purchased those from Kate at i{heart} papers. As well as the silk ribbon and the flourishes!

I hope that you like it!
Thank you for stopping by today, I truly appreciate it!
Your kind comments are so sweet and always lift my spirits!

May you be Blessed in all you do!

Hugs,
Mary

It is a {ippity} Hip Hop Monday!

Hi Everyone!

Well this is the first week of our {ippity} challenges for the month of April, and we start out with a sketch challenge!
I am sure that if you started out at the beginning that you have already seen the sketch so I will get right to the pictures of my card!

For this Birthday Card I used the sets Now and Always and the sentiment is from Just wanted to say!
The ink I used this time is the Hybrid Palette Umber and Noir that is made for {ippity}! Which I do have in stock. The flower vines I did use Tim Holtz distress ink in shabby shutters.
I did cut the flower out 3 times for dimension and a little distressing. For the scallops along the edges which is part of the sketch,I used Spellbinders Eyelets Border.
The design papers are from Making Memories, card stock is GinaK and Paper Temptress.
The silk ribbon is from i{heart} papers!
The sentiment is from Unity and at the moment I can't remember which kit this is from! (sorry!)

Well I hope you like it!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I am always so thrilled when you do! You have no idea!! :)

Have a wonderful week!
I am going to try to be back tomorrow or wed. with another card for the Unity April Challenge which is fashion! I think you still have until the 14th to enter!
