{ippity}Blog Hop! For Monday 3/22/10
Hi Friends!
Well it is another {ippity} Blog hop today and I am so excited to be participating again this week!
Last week I had the icky flu and was not able to be here, but I am finally feeling good again and am ready to start creating again! Yeah!
This week our challenge was to create a card or project using green and one neutral.
My neutral was ivory and the {ippity} set that I used was from the winter release set called "What Matters Most".
I love the sentiments in this set and the images are so versatile!
The DP is from MME also part of the winter release. For the tree trunk cosmo cricket and a piece of memorybox DP for the top.
I used Copics to color the images, paper pieced the tree and used pop dots to give dimension.
Used labels 1 nestibilites for the sentiment and the square nestibilites for the main image.
The ivory card stock is from GinaK pure luxury, and a bit of green satin ribbon at the bottom with a green dew drop in the center of the "bow".
I used yellow copics and a clear star glitter pen for the windows in the houses to simulate lights being on in the Homes.
I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend and that you are having a day filled with Blessings! I also want to say Thank you to all of you who stopped by the last time and left me comments, they all meant so much to me, I sat and read them all more than once!!:)
Thank you for taking the time to stop by today!
Hugs,
Mary

{ippity} Blog Hop!
Good morning fellow {ippity} fans!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
This is my first blog hop and I am very excited!
My card uses 3 different {ippity} sets.The branch from:Devoted
Sentiment on card front is from: Life's little moments
Birdcage and sentiment on inside is: Because of you.
It is wonderful how these kits and all of the kits from {ippity} can work together!
The DP is from webster's pages and the card stock is Husk from prismatics and luxary choc. chip from GinaK.
Well I will keep it short since there are many others to see!
Have a great week and thank you for stopping by!

Some Thank you's
Hello Friends!
Wanted to share with you some Thank you notes that I am trying to do for our Prayers and Squares Quilt Ministry at our Church. When they receive a donation to the ministry they always send out a little note... and I thought it might be nice to do something that looked like a quilt and had a sewing theme.
What do you think?
The stamp images are from Hot Potatoes rubber stamps. the image is called Mambo Squares. It is actually a 2 sided stamp, but I only used the one image on these cards. I stamped it on Pure Luxury white from Gina K. using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then used Copics to color them. All of the squares are cut and embossed using the squares Nestibilities and layered onto prismatics card stock. The blue and green gingham squares is from a Memory Box paper pkg. that I have had for quite awhile so not sure which collection it is.
I used the Times Roman font from JustRite stamps to do the message on the tag which is also from Nestibilites. The tape measure ribbon is Bobbin Ribbon that I found at Micheal's....thought it would work quite nicely for a quilting or sewing card! I cut the sharp end off of some pins and mounted them under the tag.
The sentiment on the inside is from Heart and Soul Rubber stamps.
Well I am going to try to do up several different kinds of cards, and I hope that they will like them....What do you think? Do they remind you of a quilt?
The Ministry gives these quilts out to people who are ill or going thru a trying time in their lives. The quilts are put out at different functions and after Masses with the ties in but unknotted. Our Parishioners say a prayer and they tie a knot . So all the ties in the quilt represent a prayer that has been said for that person. It is a comforting thing for the person to receive knowing that all these people have offered up prayers for them to ask our Heavenly Father for healing, peace,comfort...whatever it is that they need to get thru the trying time they are facing.
Hope that you are getting some warmer weather where ever you are. We had some rain on Saturday, but Monday was beautiful. Rain again Wednesday and this coming weekend again.
Just more stamping time....Yeah!
Have a good Day!
