Is it Monday? Well it must be {ippity} Hip Hop!

Good Morning Everyone!

Hope your day is starting off well! Hopefully with a nice cup of hot something and time to look at all the inspiration!
Today wraps up our first month long challenge! Our design team did a great job picking the categories for each weeks inspiration! The last  challenge of the month was to use brads. This challenge was a lot of fun because I was able to pull out some brads that at first you wouldn't think were brads at all! :)

So as you can see I did a desk calendar with a notepad! It is a easel card style again, only this time I put the calendar on top and then added the sticky notes below.
I used the {ippity} set Farm Fresh for all of the images. This set is ending up to be one of my most used and favorite sets! Which in a way surprises me a little, because our home is not Country! But these images are so darn cute and versatile!  AND I do have this set in stock for anyone who needs to add it to their collection! ;) Remember when you order from me you receive a free paper pack, some surprise goodies and I have a Customer Appreciation Program! ( okay this ends the public service announcement! tehe)
Now, for the brads...I used 2 "screws"  that I distressed with my Tim Holtz hammer to hold the calendar in place. Then on the barn that is a star brad and a small brad for the door handle. Then next to the barn, the horse is a brad as well! The horse is hidden a little right now with the notepad being full, but as you use the notes the horse will gradually reveal himself! ;)
This is the top part folded down. I used a Fiskars photo corner punch to add the panel. This way if during the year you decide that you would like to change the image that can be done.
I did reinforce the bottom with some very heavy cardboard that I had saved from some packaging.I  covered it with the same card stock that I used for the card base, which is GinaK pure luxury chocolate chip.
The images were stamped on GinaK pure luxury ivory and colored with copics and then cut out. Inks used were memento and versamagic. DP is MME and October Afternoon.
I hope you like it!

Thank you for stopping by today! You each make my day when you do!!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

P.S I will be back tomorrow with another calendar using "How you Doin", and sweet Erica gave my blog an award! Thanks again Erika!!

Unity FWF Blog Hop!

Happy Friday Everyone!
Can't believe it is Friday already! lol

Well I know that there is a lot of inspiration to see today, so this will be short!

There was a lot of color in the inspiration piece for today. So I used a lot of color!!
I used several sets today. The cake is from the co-branded Bella BLVD set Sweet Celebration Birthday. I set it on the cupcake stand from the march2010 Store KOM.

The "celebrate" sentiment is from Happy Everything. And the sentiment on the inside is from the Nov.2010 KOM! All of these can be found on the Unity website! All images were colored in with copics and the copics glitter pens on the inside sentiment. The cake was cut out and placed on the cake stand that I stamped with out the cupcakes!
Hope you like it!
Have a great weekend everyone! And Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such sweet comments. You have no idea how much they mean to me!!

Blessings and Hugs,
Mary

{ippity} Hop with a photo inspiration challenge!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and have great things planned for this week!

This week we had a photo challenge for out {ippity} month long challenge.
The photo was beautiful, a bedroom done in white, red and blue,...polka dots and 2 other patterns. Lace as well!

So here is my card:
I used the {ippity} set Now and Always, the sentiment is from Just wanted to say. (Both of which I do have in stock! ) Paper is GinaK pure luxury and October Afternoon. The dark blue is done with versamark and clear embossing powder.
I wanted to make the square look like a window,so I used the square nestabilities and a fiskars punch to make the "valance". ;)
The flower and butterflies I colored with copics. And I used flower soft for the bodies of the butterflies to give them a little bit of interest.
The sun is a crystal sticker from Mark Richards, and the other crystals are from Zva.
Ribbon is from the i{heart}paper store as well as the flower soft. And I think I purchased the 8x8 paper pad from October afternoon from there as well.

Thank you for looking! I hope you like it!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

Hello!

Hope you all are having a beautiful Sunday!

I wanted to share a card that I did for the very special Katie Renz. An incredible artist and someone in our crafting community that is battling stage 4 gastric cancer.  She is documenting her journey through on her blog so if you would like to find out more or send her a card for encouragement check out her blog link Here. There are also several fund raisers going on right now to help the family out with the mounting medical bills and you can find out more info on the i{heart} papers blog post here. The color throw down challenge blog did a card drive for Katie and they choose the colors pink, chocolate and blue.  Well those werent' the exact names because they used SU paper colors, so I used something close, I think!? ;)

So here is my card!
I used Isabelle and cocoa from Stampavie. The card stock is GinaK pure luxury and the blue panel I ran thru my cuttlebug with an embossing folder. the main image is colored with copics, cut out and popped up with pop dots onto another stamped image on the white cs. I used a nestabilitie to cut out the main panel and I did use 2 of the same size die cuts and fit the top layer onto the chocolate cs so that it looked like a book page.
The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the crystals are Zva from the i{heart}paper store as well as the satin ribbon. I did add the chocolate pearls to the crystal design, and the pearls on the scalloped panel on the edge as well. That panel I punched using a Fiskars scalloped edge punch.

I forgot to photograph the inside message before I mailed the card, but it was one that I found at Heart and Soul rubber stamp company. She has many perfect stamps for an occasion such as this! I hope that this will lift Katie's Spirits, and bring a smile to her beautiful face! I don't know Katie personally but I have followed her blog. She is a fighter! And I am sure would love to hear from you as well!

Blessings and Hugs,

Unity FWF!

Happy Friday everyone and welcome to a Unity Blog Hop for FWF!

The card I am sharing today is done with some older Unity stamps that I have in my collection.
In fact I think they are some of the first ones that I purchased!

The background stamp that I used is called Everlasting Romance found here, I stamped it with versamark. And the main image is called Lovely Lilacs found here. (the links are to the Unity website)
I stamped the main image with memento rich cocoa and embossed with clear embossing powder.
The butterfly is colored in with copics and atyouspica pens. I stamped and colored in 3 butterflies so that I could layer them for dimension. The lilacs and the sponging is done with ranger distress inks.

And then I used the versamark for the large background stamp. The paper Dollie ribbon is from Basic Gray. Oh and the image at the top and bottom of the Scalloped large oval nestabilities is a Unity stamp as well, but I don't remember it's name. I added 2 glass brads from basic gray at the top and bottom.
The card stock in from GinaK, and this is the faux leather tan pure luxury. I hope that you can see the texture in the picture. I did use a distressing tool to distress the edges of the ivory with the main image.
I wanted everything to have an aged and romantic appearance.
Okay this last image I added a bow to it because I can't decided if I need a bow or not! What do you think? :) I removed it again after the picture so it could go either way. Maybe I will add a sentiment there instead. It is just that it is almost 3 am and I can't make any decisions right now! LOL

I hope that you like it!
I noticed that I lost a follower today. :(  I hope that I didn't offend anyone by anything that I have written or talked about on my blog!

Thank you for stopping by. Can't wait to see what everyone else has today on their blogs! So much talent in Unity land!!
Have a great weekend!
Blessings and Hugs!

Check this out!

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to share this with you, Melanie Muenchinger a designer for GinaK stamp designs (and the card stock I use ALL the time!) just had her stamp sets used on 2 episodes of "scrapbook Memories" on PBS! And they used them to show 2 really cool techniques! I love to learn new techniques, in fact that is one of my New Year's goals, to learn one new one each week! ;)  And I thought you might like to as well!

The first one was water coloring with gel pens or the star dust pens with the beautiful mica powders in them! It is so easy to do that I wanted to share the link to the video so you could watch it if you would like! They used the stamp "Arranged with Love". The 2nd video is using the gel pens on transparencies to make your own embellishments. And again they used Melanie's stamps this time from "A year of flowers".

Here is the link: Hands,Head and Heart (Her Blog)

Enjoy!

{ippity} Hop, Color Challenge and a SALE!

Happy Monday! And for some a Holiday! (Not for my poor Hubby however. :(   )

Anyway! I hope you are having a great Holiday weekend.

I have 2 items I would like to share today.

The first is our color challenge for this weeks {ippity} challenge.
It was to use the colors red, white and blue.
Here is the card that I did,I hope you like it!
I have not added a sentiment yet because I can't decide which occasion I need it for first! :) I have a few different possibilities!
The two different {ippity} sets that I used were Faith Blooms (the flower) and the Gurnsey Gingham for the background.
The card stock is from GinaK, and the ribbon I purchased from i{heart}papers.

Next I have just a little altered sticky notepad that I did to have on  hand for a little Hostess gift.
I picked up the notepads at Target and then tried to match the design to the stamps that I used.

The {ippity}set that I used is How You Doin', card stock is GinaK,and again the ribbon I purchased from i{heart} papers.
I placed the little magnets under the square flower images so that they were covered. And they act as a closure for the cover.

And I added a small flap that I adhered with red line tape on each end so that you could tuck a small note inside. I thought the flowers and the images went well with the flower that was already on the notepads!

Lastly I  hope that you will check out my {ippity} sale page,I have a Anniversary Sale going on right now where you can get sets at 50% off when you buy qualifying sets at regular price! It is quite the deal right now! :) You could get the sets that I used today for 50% off! Please check the sale page for details!

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it so much!
Have a great day and a great week!

{ippity} Hop and a Sketch Challenge!

Hello! And welcome to our first Hop with the New format for the {ippity} challenges!
And my 20% off sale extended until tonight!!

The DT is changing things up a bit and now our challenges will a month long adventure with a new portion added each week!

The first part of this months challenge is the sketch, and here is my take on it:
I used 3 different {ippity} sets for this Birthday Card!
The first ones was Cuppy Cakes, this is such and adorable set, and who doesn't like cupcakes!?
The next 2 sets were the flower from How you Doin' and the sentiment from Party Hat Wishes.
Card stock was from GinaK, pure luxury. The ribbon and trim in from i{heart}papers.
I did paper piece the cupcake for some added dimension. The images were colored with copics and I also used the atyou spica glitter pens. I may still go back and add some rhinestones, but can't decide on that yet! ;)

Remember if you need to add any of these sets to your collection, or if you need to start your collection please take a look at my {ippity} sale page.
I decided to go ahead and extend my 20% off sale until tonight since we were celebrating a New Hip Hop challenge format!

And thank you so much for all the sweet comments, they really do mean so much to me! Appreciate you taking the time to leave them for me!

Happy Saturday!

Hope you are all having a great start to your weekend!

I wanted to share a few more projects that will be on the {ippity} blog today as part of my {ippity} blossom week! AND to remind everyone that my {ippity} Celebration Sale of 20% off is still going on!!

These projects are related to Valentines day, and use the {ippity} sets Moon Beams and Heart Strings, Quotes a'la Happy, How you Doin' and Music of My Heart.
First Up is a Valentine Card, this uses the sets Moon Beams and Heart Strings for the hearts, the birds are from Quotes a'la Happy, and....
the little letter and the sentiment are from the kit "How you doin' ". DP is an older release from Memory Box and the card stock is from GinaK. The ribbon is silk which I think I got from i{heart} papers or from the Stamp Simply Ribbon store. Can't remember which!
The roses are from wild orchid crafts. And I used Nestabilities labels for the main image and the black mat.
Next up is a Candle and bookmark that I did using "Music of my Heart". I used the flourished heart image and stamped onto white issue paper and embossed with white embossing powder. Then using my heat tool I carefully melted the candle to absorb the tissue paper so that all you have showing is the white embossed heart!
Then I added the white silk ribbon and the little flowers to embellish it. I later added a pearl and crystal stick pin into the bow, but I did that after I had taken the picture. It does finish it off nicely.
The last thing that I did was the bookmark. This is one of my favorite techniques. Embossing onto or into velvet! I think because it can look so elegant! I used the Heart again from Music of my Heart, and then using an iron heat embossed the image into the velvet. I then placed the velvet onto sticky back tape and then cut it out using my long rectangle nestabilities. Then adhered it to the black card stock from GinaK. I used my crop-a-dile to set an eyelet in the top and then added the 1/4" silk ribbon. I thought it still needed a little something so decided to use the white inkessentials pen from Ranger around the outside in the scallops. I think it added just the right of "something". ;)

This has been a fun week! And remember my {ippity} SALE going on until Sunday night at midnight! (pacific time! :)

ALSO i have started a Customer Appreciation Program!! Pleases see my store page for details! ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! You have no idea how much they all mean to me!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary

{ippity} Hip Hop! The First of the New Year!!

Hi Everyone!

I know it has been a few weeks since I have had a project, and I thought what better way to start the year than to have a project for the first {ippity} Blog Hop of the New Year!

Our challenge was to do something to "Ring in the New Year"...so I did a Calendar!
I used the {ippity} set "Sing a New Song" and......

.... made the calendar as you would make an Easel card. I did add these flowers at the bottom to hold the pages of the calendar down . I originally wasn't going to do that, but I wanted to pages to stay flat! ;)

The other thing that I decided to do was to insert the image on the upper part into photo corner slots so that I can change out the image each month or every other month if I want to. Maybe along with the Holiday that happens to be coming up! Maybe for Valentines day! I  can always add this one back in again!
The DP is from Websters Pages, card stock from GinaK, the crystal flourish is Zva,and the pearls from Kaiser Craft. The sentiment is die cut using a Nestabilites set,and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Designs.

Please check back to the {ippity} blog tomorrow as I am the {ippity} blossom this week! So excited!  I have new projects to share with you and a special that will be on my {ippity} sale page, along with a New Customer Appreciation program that I will be starting with this New Year!
Can't wait to see what the year has in store for me and for all of you!

Have a Great Day,and see you back here tomorrow!!

Blessings and Hugs,

Mary
